Good book. Took me a while to read it, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The story of an ex-con named Shadow who gets pulled into a confrontation between the old gods (think Odin and Anansi) and the new gods (the internet or media/tv). I'm sure if I was better read, I would have gotten more out of it. There are probably lots of references to odd gods from various cultures that I didn't pick up on. Czernobog? Thunderbirds? But the story was fine even without all those things.Tuesday, July 6, 2010
